Malaysia, Truly Bodoh

Is your typical Chinaman greedy? And your typical Melayu lazy?

Wait. Instead of highlighting the differences between us, lets emphasise our similarities.

One thing I can say for sure is that there are Chinaman and Melayu who are stupid.

Deputy information minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi says:

... the mainstream media including the official government media should provide the correct explanation about allegations spread through the internet or blogs, especially if the allegations were targetted at the government and its policies.

"(This is because) not all the information (and slanders) spread through internet or blogs are accurate," he told reporters here last night.

"We do not want the public to be deceived by inaccurate information including those that are slanderous." [Bernama]

Zahid also wants us to have ethics and self respect. The motherfucker should start with himself and his party first before he starts preaching to the rest of us.

Ethics? Self respect? This stupid dick was once Anwar's running dog, but went running with his tail between his legs after Mahathir bitch-slapped the dude.

So go fuck off, Zahid.

Not to be outdone, and demonstrating that a Chinaman can be just as "smart" as a Melayu, is deputy science, technology and innovation minister Kong Cho Ha:

Registering bloggers may be a “stricter” way to stop cyberspace writers from spreading disharmony and lies.

Acknowledging that the registration of bloggers was a difficult task, Deputy Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Datuk Kong Cho Ha said that it needed the cooperation of other countries.

Kong said: “We need to have stricter cyber laws to prevent these bloggers from disseminating disharmony, chaos, seditious material and lies.

“We are talking about creating cyber laws to control those who misuse the Internet,” he added. [The Star]

I thought Kong had more brains. But maybe he keeps forgotting to bring them along with him.

Oi Kong, the fuckers who are "disseminating disharmony, chaos, seditious material and lies" are the Barisan Nasional (specifically Umno) and its ball carriers in the mainstream media, not the blogs.

And the mainstream media are just as fucking stupid as the people who are buttfucking them.

How else can you explain Bernama and The Star publishing idiotic statements made by idiots?

So now you can truly understand why a Mat Salleh describes us as Malaysia Bodoh.

Not just because we have stupidity in the power elite, but also because we, the people, allow such stupidy to rule over us time and time again.

Yes. If we let this crap continue, you and I are just as responsible for screwing up this country as the people who are actually screwing it up.

The name is Ahmad Zahid bin Hamidi.

Posted by: Gurindam Jiwa at December 3, 2006 11:25 AM

That's very straight-forward upfront comment, frank and to the core of sentiments held ny most MAlaysians, the silent cowered majority. For this, I truly appreciate your voicing out our feelings, our frustrations, our bottled anger.
These are but two examples of running dogs almost in the corridors of power : they could have led some sort of reform, but their courage and wits are used for personal opportunities rather than serving the down-trodden Malaysian public of all races ( why do we have to keep saying this instead of just for all Malaysians - because the seeds of discord and discontent had been sown by the UMNOPutras for their own selfish and greedy ends, with limpid support from their minority partners, the MCAs macais and the MICs kutus, etc etc ).
Aisehman, keep it up. You say it for us and we repeat it all over town ( at least in the pubs, the hotel lounges, the wet markets, the teh tarik stalls, the houses of worship, the schools, colleges and universities, the gyms and sports clubs and the various community halls ).
Spread the word, the truth of these no-gooders and VOTE THEM OUT at the next General Election!!
The voters decide who stays and who should go TAKE a LONG NAP and not be continuing NUISANCE and cause for rancour among true MALAYSIANS.
Cheers

brudder, dont get worked over these motherduckers. they are the reason why malaysia is known as malaysia bodoh.

Posted by: nstman at December 3, 2006 01:09 PM

Well said Aisehman. This reflects what all of us think when we read the star this morning, including all the F words multiplied by a thousand times.

Politicians like the abovementioned - corrupted mercenaries.

Give the people their voices back I say!!

Posted by: Jomaropol at December 3, 2006 01:32 PM

That should be Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, not to be confused with Zaid Ibrahim, who is probably a thousand times smarter than Zahid. Yes, Zahid was an avowed supporter of Anwar, but then dropped Anwar like a hot potato when Zahid was issued an ultimatum by Mahathir. Such people who no backbones cannot be taken seriously. Are you reading this, Zahid ?

Posted by: Godfather at December 3, 2006 04:44 PM

Am I just nostalgic for old times or is there a proliferation of shit-for-brains politicians since the Old Man stepped down.

Not arguing that they never existed before. Just that they seem to be coming out of the woodwork like stupidity is going out of style.

Posted by: Unspun at December 3, 2006 05:07 PM

Aisehman,

You sure sound very angry today. I hope the rest of your weekend goes well.

Many people are generally angry with the current situation in this country. They feel that the '4th floor boys' are ransacking, if not raping the country. Many Malaysians can't wait to register their disapproval of AAB in the election. How we all wish the election would come sooner!

People are restless. The poors are complaining the ever increasing cost of living. The salary is stagnant and yet everything else costs more nowadays. The riches (including professionals and middle class Malays) are now openly talking about migrating. They feel that the country is being destroyed and they are helpless. They can't do much and they are not confident that BN can be toppled in the next election. It is a depressing situation.

What can we do? We all love this country and can't stomach all the goings-on anymore.

Posted by: Longhorn at December 3, 2006 07:26 PM

The problems is many of those sitting in top slots of UMNO, MCA and MIC think all Malaysians are stupid. If they do not think we are stupid, Malaysians would not be given the type of garbage in the dossage that we get thru NST, Utusan and the like.

So brother, what do we do to let them know that we are not stupid? As a group we were the ones who put them in the positions of power. As a group now we have to do something to tell them that we do not want to be treated like idiots anymore. It is obvious that they do not read the blogs. Even if they do, they think all bloggers are evil and anti-government.

We will not get a second glance if we write to the editors. So, what do we do? May I suggest bloggers like yourself who has a good steady following start a signature campaign just to let these people know that we are not stupid. Demand some steps to stop this circus! It has to be done by many different groups so the signature would include those Malaysians who are not surfing the net.

What do you say?

Posted by: sayangmalaysia at December 3, 2006 10:18 PM

Thank you for hitting the bull's eye once again. Had the idea of commenting on a couple of your postings before but thought that what I wanted to say would have been also on the minds of others reading your true to earth comments on current Malaysian issues.

What I would like to comment is that with the present bunch of morons in the BN our next generation will undoubtedly be the main casualties. Either vote in the opposition at the next election to shut these up-starts up and prevent them for destroying OUR (once upon a time) HOME AND COUNTRY - MALAYSIA that we were so proud of.

Keep up with your good and realistic comments. Am your ardent reader.

Posted by: Philip at December 4, 2006 02:13 AM

After reading your comments, I felt relieved. Now I know, we have all stupid ministers and politicians, whoever and whatever they are. I agree with you - they are shitty motherfuckers.

Posted by: Maverick SM at December 4, 2006 02:36 AM

If politicians have their way, we would all be reading just the nst and the star; we would all be entertained by rtm and akademi fantasia, while they suck the nation dry.

The event in lancang is nothing but to lullaby the poor rakyat..."go on enjoy the cheap entertainment, vote for us again...and dream on while we do the looting..."

some more want to talk about ethics...pegi dah!!

Posted by: idris at December 4, 2006 07:31 AM

Aisehman,
I don't care who the MF is and what race he belongs to. If he is brainless and talks big he should also be castrated. Both ends equal. Otherwise he makes fools of us everyone.

Posted by: LC_Teh at December 4, 2006 11:25 AM

"not all the information (and slanders) spread through internet or blogs are accurate..."

excuse me, who has ever claimed otherwise???
sometimes, i wonder whether our politicians r actually stupid, or THEY THINK we r stupid.

most malaysians r mature enough to know they should not believe everything they read, on the internet or papers. but our politicians seem to think that we r SO NAIVE that we could b easily fooled.

maybe they think they r running a primary school here. maybe that's their WISH.
yeah, THEY WISH.

"We do not want the public to be deceived by inaccurate information including those that are slanderous"

- including those spread by government-controlled mainstream media, thank u very much.

"We are talking about creating cyber laws to control those who misuse the Internet"

guess whose newspapers n tv stations will b the FIRST to be shut down if such laws existed???

to the YANG BODOH's of BN government:

there's a concept called 'the free marketplace of ideas', where "Truth stands out clear from Error."

your government should learn what mature governments all over the world do - counter lies with TRUTH n FACTS, not with ideas which INSULT OUR INTELLIGENCE & MATURITY, not always tempted to shoot the messengers.

after all, what's there to hide, YB's????

-- btw, WHEN THE FUCK R U GOING TO FULLY REVEAL YOUR BUMI-EQUITY CALCULATION / METHODOLOGY????
still trying to bribe some world bank or imf officials to 'endorse' your idiotic par value calculation??

OOOII, we're waiting here!!! ANYBODY HOME????

No doubt about it ..... you are 100 % correct!
.... not only that .... you really have the balls to
speak out your mind ..... May God bless you &
protect you from consequences!!! I mean from
the people you refer to ..... those bastards

their resolve to abuse & cause havoc ....

Don't blame old uncle Kong, as Deputy Science, Technology and Innovation minister, he has to say this nonsense or else his darling post would be handed over to some other s.o.b in the next cabinet reshuffle due soon. As for pakcik Zaid, he has to show his calibre to his new masters to prove that he is no Anwar running-dog.

Posted by: Abdullah the Bedouin at December 4, 2006 12:34 PM

well said bro, you need not be a smarty to point out the Stupid...

UMNO + MCA ... what do you get : JackAsses ... episod 49

Posted by: jaga@jaga at December 4, 2006 04:17 PM

Phew, spewing out venom with naughty language is not the way to get your message across. I mean over a wider spectrum of inhabitants of Bolehland, which includes intellectuals like me, for instance. Of course I agree with you that putting the lid on cyber talk and comments will lead to a meltdown not seen since Chernobyl, but you have to restrain yourself. You can say something like, “brown brother speak with fork tongue” or maybe a little bit meatier like, “sai loh, foo lat lah weiiiii”.

Posted by: Laimun at December 4, 2006 10:12 PM

Blogs contains much lies and it will be better if the government bans the entire Internet. Without Internet, BN can rule for another 50 years as there will be nobody to expose them.

Posted by: Beliau Baginda at December 4, 2006 10:18 PM

I'm actually quite relaxed about what these apparatchiks had to say. If the government feels it needs to actively rebut whatever is commented upon in the internet, I'm all for an open debate. All they have been doing in the past is to ban or suppress as subversive whatever is disagreeable to them. It's high time the Information Ministry hired some Blog-savvy professionals, maybe some more "Budak Oxford..."?

As for registering blogs, you have to understand what China has been doing. The entire internet connection between China and the outside world has to go through this firewall which blocks access to and from banned outside websites. So in the end all the blogs can only be hosted inside the country, and they force all the internal IT providers to require bloggers to register.
It must involve pretty heavy hardware and software...imagine trying to control the access of EVERY internet browser request in the country. China gets zero respect on this issue from the outside world but if you are big enough like China, you can tell the rest of the world to fly...
For a country like Malaysia which is trying hard to develop its IT industry and attract foreign investors, to do this would amount to..I think the English saying is -Cutting off the nose to spite the face.
Actually Blogs are not so easy to control or trace. Unlike e-mails which have your IP address embedded in the e-mail base data. If the Blog is hosted in an overseas server, its quite difficult short of hacking into the Host system to find out who the blog owner really is. However, many bloggers have a contact e-mail address. If you just passively receive the e-mail, its not traceable, but if you use the same e-mail account to send to someone inside the country, it could be traced.
So, relax Aisehman, there's no real substance to this, yet. They will need some really brainy "Budak Oxford" to implement this..the political types won't do.

Posted by: kittykat46 at December 4, 2006 10:28 PM

*clap*clap* my thoughts exactly. i have friends who bitch about the government, toll hikes, water rate hikes, fuel hike.. but who wouldn't bother voicing their dissatisfaction at the ballot box. so yeah, you get the government you deserve.

Posted by: geekrawk at December 5, 2006 08:51 AM

"The motherfucker should start with himself and his party first before he starts preaching to the rest of us." ....

Haha, aisehman, your words always amuse me.

Anyway, it's not Malaysia Bodoh, it should be "Malaysia, you think the ppl are bodoh?". C'mon, they can say all they want about the credibility of mainstream media and how blogs spread lies. But just ask around, almost everyone read blogs nowadays and though they only trust 75% of what is written in blogs, the never trust anything in the mainstream anymore.

Just like the case in Kg Berembang, not reported at all in the mainstream media. Someone sent me a blog with full reports and picture. Reading revived that little hope that I have about this country. Not referrig to the demolishing act, but the unity of the people in defending their rights.

Aisehman,

I resent your statement: "Not just because we have stupidity in the power elite, but also because we, the people, allow such stupidy to rule over us time and time again."

As if we had a choice! Can you honestly tell me that the opposition had the slightest chance of setting up government here in Malaysia-sia (sia-sia as in "wasted")? You think the Malaysians did NOT want to see a different government being set up? But the question is: will the CURRENT government ALLOW that to happen???

BTW, how many of you out there notice that your ballot paper is actually TALLIED to your ID? During the last GE, they matched my ballot paper to my ID, so there was no f**king way I could've voted peacefully and without fear, right? I thought your vote is confidential??? How confidential is it when they could easily trace those opposition supporters to their ID??? Did you notice that? And can we NOT have that stupid procedure repeated in the next GE? Can someone raise this in the parliament??? There was no f**king privacy in who you vote! Those bl**dy motherf**king BN leaders! Up yours la!!!

Posted by: myview_aia at December 6, 2006 12:02 PM

My shit, they hv frightened the shit out of me. Those idiots must be very annoyed of criticism from bloggers.

If they want nice things said about them, they better fucking get themselves straighten out.

Look like the next election GOing to be very interesting.

Posted by: AnG Wee KionG at December 6, 2006 02:37 PM

Bakri

Having read your comments and observing the current happenings both at the Government and Politicians levels, obviously we the Malaysians are under the rule of the 'Benggaps' and the 'Bahalols'.

Indeed time for change is critical and suicidal too as wild boars are created simply to suck up shits of human beings.

The worst of all we can't differentiate which is human or the other as they are all look a like.

Something to ponder!

Posted by: Ling Ling Chatt at December 6, 2006 04:42 PM

Agreed Aisehman!

We let them divide our country. We let them take our money. We vote in corrupt people.
We know so much to complain about those people we voted in, but we never give solutions.
We say they're the only viable option when we dont create our own.
We say we need opposition, but dont give shit about them (at least help them out and advise them. Anyone read the Keadilan Menifesto?).
We say yes with paying a hell lot more for our cars just to fill some pocket money to a few Malays. We Chinese hate UMNO, but we're the ones responsible for voting them in when the Malays are fragmented. We Malays are so ampathetic and stupid that we allow the government to do as it wishes.and the list goes on and on.

like aisehman said, if they fuck the country off, you are no less responsible for it. fuck you malaysians

Posted by: heyya at December 6, 2006 07:55 PM

I fully agree.Intelligence, reason, decorum, class, brains etc are not things we can expect from our elected representatives, leave alone integrity, vision for the nation to take it in the right direction, as a unified nation. If we allow this sort affairs to continue by electing and reelecting them, we, the citizens of Malaysia, have blame ourselves. If we do again, we will get the government we deserve. No point complaining and complaining

It's Mr. Micheal Backman gave that Malaysia Bodoh title to bodoh malaysians..tapi dlm sesetengah aspek je la..Tak la semua..Tapi mmg sokong komen dia ttg stadium kat England tu.Apa punya teori la..berlatih tahap ketahanan badan utk suhu sejuk sedangkan olimpik diadakan pada musim panas...(Summer Olympic)hehe...

Posted by: Cipha at December 7, 2006 01:37 PM

Rather than regulating us the ordinary citizens, the politicians had better spend more time regulating their own malicious members who utters threats, racist remarks in the parliament and lies!

Why must we be regulated?!

They don't understand that if the people criticize them, it means the people don't like them or don't like what they are doing. There must be something wrong with them. Instead of reflecting on their problems, they turn against the people who reacts to anomalies in governance.

If all bloggers are to say nice and sweet things about them, then it's all FAKE! But they are fake politicians anyway. They are business con-men who openly asks for government projects which shows that their main priority is not about serving the people but to enrich themselves.

When the law is passed, we all have to become pretenders singing their musics. What a crock!

Posted by: Taiko at December 7, 2006 03:07 PM

In The Republic, Plato posed the question, "Who will guard the guardians?" How prescient!

Too bad we have a case of the Dilbert Principle gone horribly wrong...

To be fair, I would say that not every blog on the Internet is completely accurate. You're bound to have your column built on rumour and fabricated stories, if simply to attract firebrands, or just to pass the buck, hence the taking information with a pinch of salt.
