The One And Only
I'm back, and my good friend is also back:
Umno Youth vice chief Khairy Jamaluddin said Friday that the time had come for him to answer all allegations and slander levelled at him including a claim that he had gotten married to a popular actress. He said the attacks against him had become very personal, and as a person with dignity, the slander must be answered quickly especially to members of the party.
Khairy dismissed an allegation that he had two wives, one of them was actress Maya Karin, and wanted people who made the claim to provide proof that he had married another.
"In the name of God, I only have one wife, she is Nori binti Abdullah and I hold to the principle of TTP -- Tak Teringin Pun (not interested in getting a second wife).
"I will use the opportunity of opening over 30 Youth divisional meetings nationwide to explain all the slander and now is the most appropriate time," he told reporters. [Bernama]
And I believe him, I swear.
But here is where it gets tricky:
Khairy has been criticised especially by the opposition and former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and is said to have a large influence over Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi in decision-making.Explaining this, Khairy said everyone had the right to make criticisms but they should have the true facts before doing so.
That's no explanation. Where I come from, that's called evading the issue.
If I were a Kelantan Umno Youth member, I would want a better explanation that that.
Heck, maybe it would be good if KJ -- an unelected politician who holds no official government-related position -- swears that he has not in any way had anything to do with the decision-making process of government, after he quit his job with the Government.
Now that would surely answer many of the "allegations and slander."

Ahh! That explains the sojourn at KLCC.
Gotta look good to the pemudas with one national demo service still fresh in their minds.
Pity Maya, though. Anybody up for consoling her.

Sometimes I wonder..how can so many UMNO members be so stupid to follow this young fella? Where is their sense of "perjuangan"? Only "perjuangan" for ownself? Even if 99% "perjuangan" for ownself, please leave 1% for bangsa dan negara lah!

Let the poor guy KJ lead his private life in confidence. I do not see anything wrong with what he is doing. Are grapes sour out there?

Welcome back, Aisehman! I missed you!
Anyway, I didn't know there were rumours about KJ being married to Maya. I only heard that they were having an affair. Rumour or not, I always believe that there's no smoke without fire....

KJ says he swears he is not married to Maya Karin.......but how come he never denied being involved with her?

WELCOME BACK AND KEEP SHARING

surely, this rumour would be untrue -
I believe u KJ - but u didn't answer the other question ...
there's a saying : no smoke without fire - did u denied having an extra-marital affair as well ???

KJ can say what he wants. UMNO members will allow him to do what he wants, since AAB is the PM. No one will believe him but he will get his way.

I didnot read anybody (either in internet or main stream news media) accusing KJ of having an affair or a second wife. Not that I know of. May be I am ignorant? Otherwise, was KJ giving a public "confession"?
Anyway, if he can swear that he didnot & will never have a second wife, then why cann't he swear that he didnot & will not influence the decision-making process of government as accused by Tun? I agreed with u, aisehman, he is evading the issue.

KJ is probably telling the truth. He is not married to MK. But, no one was accusing him of that. People are saying that he was having an affair with her. He did not deny this. And I am not saying he is having that.
You know why I think he is not a leader. Wwell, he borrowed money to buy the ECM Libra shares. SO young, so new, so raw, so inexperienced and so greedy.
to me, that is a poor trait in a leader. But I must always remember that he was not elected. That he catapulted to that position because he is the PM's SIL. Plain and simple.
KJ has demonstrated a lack of leadership qualities.
I cannot believe he ever studied in a very good college in the UK.
He learnt nothing from his stay abroad. Maybe one thing, how to succeed in life ..... whatever it takes.
