War Of Words II

UPDATE On the self-styled Islamic Mujahidin Consultative Council, from a reader:

Remember on June 30 when USS warships Nimitz and Princeton came to town?

Seems there was a warning posted on the same website on June 24 by the same two groups [that now make up the Islamic Mujahidin Consultative Council].

Interesting to note (amongst other things):

  • Presumably the first communique from Majlis Syura Mujahidin Malaysia/Barisan Pejuang Islam Fatani to be published on the website.

  • The threat to sabotage the two ships if they were allowed to dock.

  • Failing that, Plan B would be to target at least 13 countries' military, diplomatic and economic interests in Malaysia.

  • The e-mail addresses to which the message was sent - didn't hear a peek from any of them except the good gents at TranungKite, posted two days later.

[Aisehman's note: The writer of the warning claims it was e-mailed to a long list of local and foreign media organisations, including all mainstream media in Malaysia]

So what happened when the ships actually docked? I'd ask these five trespassers for a start.

  • Since the news of the October 5 declaration came out, only one news report on November 29 has mentioned the reminder of the October, heh, Botox threats on 13 embassies.

The June 24 statement mentioned targetting the national interests of "Amerika dan sekutu-sekutunya iaitu Britain, Israel, Perancis, Rusia, India, Thailand, Filipina, Australia, Jepun, German, Singapura, Itali dan yang lain."

AFP 13/10 says "The packages began arriving on the afternoon of October 4 at the diplomatic missions of Japan, Germany, Thailand, Canada, the Philippines and Singapore.

"The United States, Russia, Britain, France and Australia received packages the following morning, the European Commission received another on October 6 and Spain was sent a package the following day."

Guess they couldn't find the Israeli embassy in KL.

    Previously unknown? Entah lah.

All I know is the October 5 "Deklarasi Perang" has had at least 25 page views over the past two days.

Well? Do you think these guys are the real deal?

Or are they just a bunch of bumbling wannabes?
