Me?

Reader selamat has this to say about Aisehman.org:

My guess is you hate UMNO, AP, affirmative action, NEP, Malay agenda, ISA, AUKU, IPTAs ... and you favour MCA, meritrocracy, UTAR, IPTSs.

That's fine cos this is your blog.

But you allow writings by people of your wavelength, but not the writings of people who are not ... why is that?

I don't know what to say.

Hi Aisehman,

You don't need to be concerned with his/her comments.

His shows how deep/shallow his/her thought covered the issues at hand.

So why bother with people of such calibre?

You should take pride in Selamat responding to your blog. That means they are looking. If they don't they are ignoring on purpose because they are powerless. They ignore you at their own peril..

What is there to say !! We are always gonna have different perspectives on a range of topics. It is easy to brush aside 'Selamat's comments as bizarre but they nonetheless represent's one view at least. Then again...it is not uncommon for such views to be presented merely to postulate a perception that 'Aisehman' is indeed not as "Malay-centric" as one may have thought of.

Whilst I may not always totally share your views on some issues, I think you have at the very least created an enviroment for critical thinking. For a start...lets always begin by thinkin' of ourselves as MALAYSIANS first....and not by our race. Many thanks for your blogg.

While Selamat gets to say his piece of mind, you have a right not to respond to him.

Sometimes being silent is the loudest answer one can gives. This is the time.

So far content in this blog is like the show, Ripley's believe it or not! That is why some people are skeptical.

Things do happened. But if you doubt it, you can counter argue beyond reasonable doubt.

Closing our thoughts to critical thinking is the main reason why we never learnt and bring progress. Critical analysis and disagreements does not mean we are anti-something or hate someone. I love my wife but I do criticise her; and it is definitely not hate per se. Mr. Selamat must have been an ardent supporter of UMNO and probably may, have been a substantial benefactor of the ersatz system. His point of view is not entirely without basis as a single institutional standpoint; but utterly lack intellectual dissertations, prefering to be dogmatically assuming. But there are Chinese commentors in this blog who had comments that are equally distasteful and which speaks much o their lack of intellectual progression.

I don't always agree with Aisehman, but I don't get barred.

Aisehman,

Selamat's comments must have given you some cause for concern otherwise you would not have made it a conversational piece. My question is: Is there any truth in his observation about your blog? Selamat also posed a question to which you 'don't know what to say'. If I were you, I wouldn't take ck's advice and simply ignore selamat's comments. BTW which calibre does ck belong to?
I would search deep into myself to find the answer.
Frankie, being silent isn't always the loudest answer one can give - Aisehman has chosen to think aloud in his blog.
Peace on earth :)

But you allow writings by people of your wavelength, but not the writings of people who are not ... why is that?

The answer to that is:
cos this is his blog.

Even the mainstream newspapers have this policy, why not this blogger?

mr aisehman..just do what u think u should do...afterall it's ur blog

Posted by: nor'aini at August 29, 2005 06:41 PM

I think Mr. Aisehman should accomodate views from all angles. In that way, it is more fun and more educational. This country is a young country. The people should expose themselves to all kinds of thinking so that learning process is faster and more comprehensive.
Me a learning person always.
